Data use

The validation Function runs inside Shopify and checks whether checkout email and a customer phone number are present and have a usable format. It does not send those values to our server. The app does not fetch orders, customer profiles, payment details, or marketing consent, and does not store customer email or phone numbers.

The hosted settings page stores Shopify authentication sessions, store domain and the minimum staff/session information supplied by Shopify's authentication library. Session tokens allow the merchant to manage this app's checkout rule. The app requests only write_validations permission.

Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks may include customer identifiers in data access or deletion requests. We verify their signatures and acknowledge these requests. Their payloads are processed transiently and are not logged or retained by this app. The app has no stored buyer contact or order records to return or erase.

Retention and deletion

Authentication sessions are retained while the app is installed and deleted after an authenticated uninstall or shop-redaction webhook. Restricted operational backups may retain deleted sessions for up to 30 days; they are not used to restore uninstalled shop access. Shopper data-request and redaction webhooks are authenticated and acknowledged; there are no externally stored shopper records to return or delete.

Security and sharing

Hosted traffic uses HTTPS. Access tokens and session storage are private. The app does not sell customer data or use it for advertising. Shopify processes checkout data under its own policies; infrastructure providers may process encrypted application traffic and restricted operational storage.

Your choices

Marketing consent remains optional. Merchants may disable or uninstall the app, and may contact us about access, deletion or support. A valid-format phone check does not verify number ownership or reachability.
